When was the last time you watched or listened to Martin Luther King Jr.’s ” I have a dream” speech? When was the last time you reflected on your dreams and how far you have come? It only takes one person to stand up and make a difference; are your actions reflecting the difference you are hoping to make?
With the celebration under way for Martin Luther King’s birthday, I challenge you today to write your “Dream speech”. It’s time to take a hard look at the differences you hoped to make in yourself, your circumstances, and the world, and determine whether your actions are a reflection of them becoming a reality.
Write down your “dream speech” and look at how far you have come, what you have had to struggle with and overcome, and what you are hoping to accomplish to make a better future for yourself and society as a whole. Then Put it in a place where you can regularly look at it, especially when attitude and action adjustments are needed. Strive to be the difference the world needs.
