With Valentines Day this week, I have been filled with lots of questions and curiosity into why and how people are attracted to certain people. Is there an actual science behind love and attraction, and if so how do we determine our mate?

I found this video from CBS News Online, and was very intrigued at how online dating actually works. According to Match.com being paired with an ideal mate is all left to “Algorithms” and Mathematical Equations. It obviously seems to work with with 1 in 5 of all relationships being initiated online. But my question is, does being paired by mathematics leave much room for romance? And if so how is relationships initiated online different?
