Six Sigma

Six Sigma is a cutting edge business management strategy that was originally developed by Bill Smith of the Motorola corporation in 1986. The UK Department of Trade defines Six Sigma as “A data-driven method for achieving near perfect quality. Six Sigma analysis can focus on any element of production or service, and has a strong emphasis on statistical analysis in design, manufacturing and customer-oriented activities.” Sounds complicated but it is really just a way of helping companies do things faster, better and more efficiently than the competition. Six Sigma courses will teach you the basic elements of the methodology including process improvement, process design/redesign and process management. Courses will train you to work as a Six Sigma consultant or serve as continuing education if you are already working in the industry.
