Commercial Drivers License
Is your idea of a great afternoon setting out on the open road with nothing but pavement to burn and scenery to take in? Then look into a career as a truck driver with a commercial drivers license (CDL). Truck drivers transport goods across state lines from warehouses to storehouses across the country and make more than $20 an hour! They report to truck terminals where they are given assignments and when they arrive at their destinations they complete necessary paperwork and turn in travel logs. These long stretches of highway and the operation of huge flatbed rigs, tankers and trailers require a skilled driver who has earned their CDL license. A course certifying you for a CDL license will involve classroom instruction and plenty of behind-the-wheel training. Drive on!
