Employment, Recruitment, and Placement Specialists

Employment, Recruitment, and Placement Specialists are responsible for the recruitment, hiring, and separation of employees. They are responsible for looking through resumes and identifying potential employees and placing them within a company.

Employment, Recruitment, and Placement Specialists most often work in human resource departments, most often located in office buildings where they conduct their research and interviews. They are also in charge of recruitment which may require travel to job fairs, professional conferences, and college campuses.

A bachelor’s degree is required for most positions as an Employment, Recruitment, and Placement Specialist. Most employers prefer a degree in human resources. However, many schools don’t offer human resources as a major but offer many courses in human resources that many employers will accept when combined with a bachelor’s degree in another field of study. Be sure to look at the degrees being offered many locations.
