Drywall and Ceiling Tile Installers

Drywall and Ceiling Tile Installers are important positions in construction, installing important parts of interior walls and ceilings during the construction process. Drywall most often comes in standard sizes, so an essential duty of a drywall installer is to cut drywall to fit the interior frame the drywall will be attached to. After the drywall is installed, the joints between the panels is filled with spackling paste and smoothed out with special tools.

Ceiling tile installation involves taking acoustic ceiling tiles or another kind of shock absorbing material and affixing it to the wall. The ceiling must be measured, with the ceiling tile installer, or acoustical carpenter, working directly from the blueprint. Moldings are also attached to the wall the ceiling tiles are properly attached to both the ceiling and wall.
