Compensation and benefits managers oversee the direction, planning, and coordination of staff members and their benefits. People with this job sometimes have a title like human resources director, benefits coordinator, corporate controller, business manager, office manager, or compensation director.

Compensation and benefits managers use computers as well as accounting, resource planning, project management, human resources, and analytical software.

They spend their time finding and executing benefits plans, preparing budgets, and analyzing policies and government regulations. This is an important position in any organization because it directly influences employees’ quality of life and even how much they like their job.
