Financial Managers

Financial Managers are responsible for controlling the money of an organization, they prepare reports, direct investments, determine budgets, and manage credit accounts. The responsibilities will vary depending on job title, but managing an organization’s money is the primary responsibility.

The industry will also be essential in determining the roles of a Financial Manager, those working in government must stay knowledgeable of current legislation, while those working in banks must know the regulations that affect banking. Many Financial Managers are hired during mergers and acquisitions in order to maximize the profits of both sides of the arrangement.

An entry-level position as a Financial Manager requires a bachelor’s degree in finance or a related area of study. Many managers have a master’s degree or professional certification as well. Be sure to take a look at the degrees being offered in many locations and invest in a new career.
