Court, municipal and license clerks work in courtrooms, municipalities and other government bureaus and agencies. They prepare docket cases, gather information for judges and cases, answer official correspondences, create agendas for city and town councils, prepare bylaws, give tests and issue licenses.

They also do financial duties like keep fiscal records and accounts, keep data logs and collect fees.
