The school was founded in 1979 and boasts modern, state-of-the-art facilities where students study one of seven programs and work towards a successful career. Students learn through hands-on experience in autobody, automotive, motorcycle technology, diesel, electrical, HVAC/R and welding programs.
Students who move to the area to can live in dorm-style rooms in housing complexes that work closely with The Baran Institute. The school is close to Six Flags New England, Stafford Springs Raceway, Hammonasset Beach State Park, ski resorts and more.
