College can be tough spot for someone to be in. Unless you are endowed with an amazing scholarship, generous parents, or some how you are one of those work three jobs and still get all A’s type of people - then you most likely have limited funds. Campus jobs are sparse, and when you have thousands of students competing for the same ones, then it can be hard to earn some money. The good news is, that there are a few other ways you can find yourself with some spending money, during college. The internet has brought on a plethora of work that needs to be done, giving you the opportunity to make some real money. The only problem with making money online, is there are a lot of people promising dollars, and then have nothing to show for it. There are some real jobs that give you a profit on the internet, and I am going to show you where to find them.

Writing
While this isn’t the most appealing job for many of us, writing is in high demand, and for almost anything you can think of. Some websites want bulk writing, and some want detailed, high quality content - in almost any niche imaginable. If you can perform at a high level, or show some creativity, then you will definitely find a job. Here are some places that you can get hired writing today.

All three are great places to look, and try to find a job. My personal favorite is TextBroker. They have a great website, and you can really earn some serious bucks on there. You might even find some writers to do that pesky midterm paper for you. Just Kidding!

SEO Specialist
When it comes to SEO, there is a laundry list of potential jobs to be done. Doing some research, and talking to workers with experience towards an SEO career is your best bet. Something as simple as email marketing could be considered a job for SEO. You yourself could be an SEO contractor for various project if you prove you can produce. There are a lot of places you can start looking for SEO jobs. A great place that I would recommend is OnlineJobs.net. You can sign up for free, post a resume, and start applying today.

If you have any previous knowledge of copywriting, article marketing, or link building you should be able to find work pretty quick. Every great SEO Company can always provide work to qualified “hard workers.” Most SEO companies provide some payment upfront, and then the rest upon completion of work. Don’t be afraid to ask, but make sure that you produce. Do a search for “SEO Work” in your area, and see what you can find. Local businesses around the campus area might also be interested.

Social Media
If you are in college, the odds are you know how to use your social networking sites pretty well. You may even have experience working with events, product pages, and creating buzz. This is exactly what businesses are looking for, and exactly what you could provide. Social media, is a huge part of marketing these days, and every good business should be taking advantage of it. Since a lot of these businesses do not have any experience with social media, they don’t have the time or the know-how, to have successful social media pages.

When you are thinking of providing social media needs a good place to start is your school. Volunteer for a month or so, just so you can get something under your belt besides communication on your own social pages. This will show businesses that you are serious, and more importantly that you are capable.

After that, start small. Do not be afraid to approach business and offer them your services to expand business. One advantage you have is that you are already part of the community network (more than likely). This allows you to easily generate a buzz for business owners, and thats what they want. Lets be honest too, social media needs are not that hard to take care of, but once you get good enough you can find a lot of businesses requesting your social media needs. A great example of a do-it-yourself socialite is here.

Of course there are a lot of other jobs out there. So don’t be afraid to look around. These three categories are proven gems in the online job world. One other job that will always need to be done on the internet is website development and graphic design. However, if you have the skills to perform these duties then you probably already know that. Check out some online jobs today! Don’t be afraid to ask questions, work hard, and make a name for yourself. The online job market is growing everyday, and college is the perfect chance to become a part of it.
