I recently found a video on YouTube of famed motivational speaker Tony Robbins talking about “Sleep-Learning”; As I watched the video, I was very intrigued, wondering if “Sleep-Learning” was a real thing, and if there was actual research to back up the link between sleep and learning.
Tony Robbins talks about Sleep-Learning
Through my research I found it to be true. When you are sleeping, you are dreaming in the subconscious mind; Our habits and beliefs are built within the subconious from the time we are born. So it makes sense that learning in a subconcious state allows you to absorb and retain information easier and at a greater capacity.
But what is Sleep-Learning?
According to SleepLearning.com ”Sleep learning is a process that takes place during natural sleep. It consists of introducing into the human mind information which is processed and memorized while the student is asleep. The sleep learning lesson begins while the student is in deep relaxation and continues after the onset of sleep.”
How does Sleep-Learning work?
Here is a great video by SleepLearning.com about how “Sleep-Learning” works:
You can bet, with more and more research being done everyday on what Sleep-Learning can do, we will be hearing more interesting facts and insights on how using our subconcious, dreaming minds can unlock the learning capacity of our minds.
