Electrical engineers work with engineers and customers to install, operate, maintain and provide support for things like electrical equipment, instruments, facilities, components, products and more.
They use tools like _evaporators, semiconductor process systems, tube furnaces, generators and lots of technology and software to make decisions, solve problems, do research, analyze information, evaluate information and think outside the box. A lot of electronic engineers’ time is spent in meetings, working on plans and overseeing projects.
The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that employment opportunities for electrical engineers is expected to remain how it is, and that the average annual income of electrical engineers is about $82,000.
Good electronic engineers are good listeners and problem solvers. They are also good at deductive reasoning, writing, time management, problem solving and critical thinking.
