Environmental Engineering Technicians

Environmental Engineering Technicians develop and create methods and devices that are used to improve the environment. These methods and devices can be used in prevention, control, or clean-up of environmental hazards.

These technicians also are responsible for inspecting machinery put in place to protect the environment. These include water treatment systems, recycling systems, and equipment designed to regulate air pollution.

Environmental Engineering Technicians work with engineers and designers in creating these methods and devices. The technicians perform tests and identify problems with equipment, offering suggestions on how they might be fixed.
