Counter and Rental Clerks
Counter and rental clerks take rental and repair orders and advise customers on what services are needed, calculate costs and accept payments. They are sometimes known as sales clerks, customer service representatives, leasing consultants or crew members.
Duties of counter and rental clerks include informing customers of fees and procedures, answering telephones and fielding questions, keeping transaction records, preparing rental forms, recommending services, displaying merchandise, getting products ready for purchase or rental, greeting customers and receiving products and labeling them to be stored, cleaned or repaired.
If you are good at listening, communicating, math, reading and organizing information, this is probably the job for you. Counter and rental clerks are also good with their hands and are able to move large products.
