Chemical Technicians

People who are good at critical thinking, deductive reasoning, writing, and time management may be perfect candidates for becoming chemical technicians. People with this career may also be known as laboratory technicians, research technicians, or research and development technicians.

Chemical technicians make sure products meet specific standards, conduct experiments, prepare chemical solutions, and provide technical support for engineers or chemists. They also analyze data, maintain laboratory work stations, and write technical reports.

Chemical technicians usually have an associate’s degree. An education program will teach students about chemistry, math, mechanics, engineering, computers, electronics, and production.
