Careers as Credit Checkers

Credit checkers look into the credit history and standing of people and businesses to see if they qualify for credit. Sometimes people with this job are known as credit investigators, commercial credit reviewers, credit managers, credit processors, credit administrators and commercial loan reviewers.

Credit checkers gather credit information and prepare reports on what they find, analyze city, bankruptcy, arrest and tax records, contact people regarding acquaintances’ history and give credit report information through the mail or over the phone.

If you are a good listener, communicator, reader, writer, teacher, learner, critical thinker and reasoner, this is the job for you. Be sure to look at the programs being offered in many locations.

The average hourly wage for credit checkers is about $14 and the average annual income is about $30,000.
