Careers as Demonstrators and Product Promoters

Demonstrators and product promoters are responsible for creating public interest in a product. They often demonstrate the product for individuals or for retail outlets such as grocery stores. They often sell the product themselves, or they gather contact information of interested parties to give to a follow-up sales team.

Demonstrators and product promoters can demonstrate a wide variety of products, from cleaning tools to complicated software. The essential aspect of the position is that the demonstrator must have a high understanding of the product in order to answer any questions that may arise.

Most demonstrators and product promoters receive on-the-job training and do not require formal post secondary education. However, a successful demonstrator and product promoter should have good communication skills, public speaking skills, and many learn additional languages commonly spoken in the areas where they promote products.

Be sure to check out the programs being offered in many locations to find courses that will help you to become a successful demonstrator and product promoter.
