The Specialty Guidelines for Forensic Psychologists are certain rules and regulations that forensic psychologists are supposed to follow in their practice. The Specialty Guidelines for Forensic Psychologists were originally adopted in 1991 as a leveling point for all forensic psychology practices. The guidelines were revised once in 2006, and they went through two revisions in 2008. Then in 2010, the rules went through yet another revision to reflect the current nature of the field.
