Students looking for an honorable career in the criminal justice field should explore a corrections program where they will learn to run prisons and be a successful parole officer.

Corrections workers work within local, state and federal prisons as well as in regional government offices. In a prison setting, corrections workers monitor inmates as they go about their daily activities. In a government setting they work as parole officers interviewing and processing drug and sex offenders into state registration systems and making sure they meet parole requirements.

In many locations corrections programs will teach students about all about criminal justice, security and safety, government and law, and so much more.
