Graphic Art & Design | All Doctorate Degrees

Graphic design is the art of painting with keystrokes and a mouse instead of a canvas and a paintbrush. Graphic artists are the designers that create magazine covers, websites, fliers, newsletters, logos, advertisements, and the visual elements of almost any print or online publication.

In many locations graphic art and design classes often include a study of liberal arts and will prepare students for the career world. Graphic arts programs typically include classes in typography, color and composition, drawing board skills, branding, and identity. Students will also learn how to use design programs used in the industry including InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator, just to name a few.

People with many Doctorate Degrees in graphic art and design pursue careers where they work for themselves or a design firm or a corporation and create and deliver messages in visual form.
