A recent survey uncovered the embarrassing fact that more than half of U.S. high school students surveyed couldn’t put a date on the American Revolution (it’s 1776)!

History teachers are charged with the important task of helping people gain an understanding of American and world history so they can truly be an active participant in the government and a responsible U.S. citizen at the very least.

People with many Other Education in history teaching education go on to teach classes where they deliver lectures to students, evaluate student work, prepare assignments, and mentor students.

History teaching education courses in many locations will teach students creative thinking, organization, course planning, communication skills, and research.

Many history educators, especially at the collegiate level, focus on research and spend much of their time researching and analyzing events that are interesting to them. Look into some history teaching education classes today!
