College can be a large financial burden, and many students need to secure financial aid in the form of scholarships, grants, and student loans. Most universities also have guides and staff members dedicated to helping students secure financial aid, either from their own program or from the many government programs available for assisting students in need of financial aid. Most large universities employ a significant number of financial aid specialists to process paperwork and determine which candidates are deserving of financial aid according to the university’s standards and protocol.
