The Internet has brought more opportunities for people who would are unable to attend a college due to time constraints and other responsibilities. Colleges used to be for younger adults who were just fresh out of high school, but as the times change, the world must change with it. As the economy continues to affect more and more people, there are fewer chances to attend a college when people have to work just to survive, and keep food on their table. Families must work more and more hours in order to afford housing, food, and gas prices that continue to go up. In order to make the kind of money to afford most things, a person needs to have a college degree, so that they can be put into a different income bracket. The Internet has brought those opportunities to the forefront with online colleges. Now people who are strapped down with too much responsibility can be given the chance to go back to school while never leaving their homes. They do not have to worry about costly babysitters to tend to their children while they attend classes. With online colleges, people can attend their class from their own home computers. Even people who are fresh out of high school can choose to attend college from their own home computers. The Internet has made it more feasible for students to correspond to their instructors through chat programs and email. Attending an online college is as simple as choosing their courses and the degree program that they want, and then logging onto the Internet to attend their first class.

Online colleges offer Associate degrees, Bachelor degrees, Master degrees, and Ph.D. degrees, as well as Trade School opportunities. The fields of study are nursing, teaching, paralegal, business, flight schools, criminal justice, and many others. The online colleges are accredited colleges that hold just as much weight as any other campus college. When a student enrolls into the online college of their choice, they will be given helpful information for financial aid, grants, loans, and scholarships. Attending a college has never been so easy. Applying for financial aid and grants are just as easy. Once a student has been approved, and they have paid for, and chosen their classes that they want to take, they will receive a syllabus that will outline their class schedule, and what will be expected of them. They will also be given homework and tests throughout their semester. Just like a regular college.
