Things just aren’t working out at your job and it’s time for a change. If you hate your job, the fact that you can’t seem to land a job, or you want to start a business the right way, these are signs it may be time to break free of the status quo and go back to college to recharge your life.

You hate your job. You can’t get out of bed in the morning. You can’t stand your boss and go out of your way to avoid encounters with them. You’re uninspired and unfulfilled at work. You’re not making what you’re worth. These are all signs you hate your job and some clues that it may be time you cut your losses and move on. If you’ve gone as far as you can without a degree and are tired of the type of work you qualify for, this is a perfect time to go back to college.

You’re not getting hired. You’ve been out of work for months and no matter how many jobs you apply for and job interviews you go to, nothing is working out. Take it from a career coach — if you’re up against another candidate with a college degree, and you don’t have this valuable piece of paper, employers will go for the person with college degree nearly every single time. Now is a great time to reevaluate your skills and what you bring to marketplace and figure out what new skills you can learn to make yourself more marketable.

You want to start a business — right. According to a study by Inc. Magazine, 4 out of 5 businesses fail within their first five years. Considering the amount of time and capital it takes to start your own business, it’s worth it to go back to college. Business classes will help you learn the skills necessary to make your small biz survive and thrive.
