Careers as Dietitians and Nutritionists

Dietitians and Nutritionists are responsible for creating eating plans, teaching healthy habits, and overseeing food distribution for many medical institutions like hospitals, nursing care facilities, and physicians’ offices.

Dietitians and Nutritionists are also known as clinical dietitians, registered dietitians, correctional food service supervisors, dietary managers, outpatient dietitians, and pediatric clinical dietitians.

Dietitians and Nutritionists can also choose to specialize and become clinical dietitians developing nutritional plans for individual patients in hospitals and other medical institutions, community dietitianswho promote health and teach healthy habits to individuals and groups, management dietitians who oversee meal plans and productions in cafeterias, and consultant dietitians who counsel individuals in weight-loss and reducing their cholesterol.

To become a dietitian and nutritionist you will need a minimum of a bachelor’s degree. Be sure to check out the programs being offered in many locations and start gathering the ingredients you need to become a dietitian and nutritionist.
