Careers as Environmental Engineers
Environmental Engineers are at the forefront of creating solutions to environmental problems. These engineers conduct research and studies, design products and equipment, and devise methods to protect or clean up the environment.
Many Environmental Engineers will specialize in one are of environmental hazards, such as water or air pollution. Others will specialize in prevention and others in clean-up. Many will work as consultants to assist businesses with regulation compliance, prevention of potential environmental hazards, and the clean-up of hazardous sites.
Environmental Engineers require a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or a similar specialty of engineering. Post-graduate degrees may be required for some positions. Take a look at the degrees being offered in many locations.
