CAD Design Technician | On-Campus Degrees

Architects of yesteryear sketched out buildings and structures with little more than a ruler and a perfectly sharpened pencil but these days everything is done on a computer. The software used in this industry is called CAD, or computer aided design, software and enables CAD design technicians to create layouts and blueprints in an accelerated time frame.

In many locations CAD design technician classes will teach students architectural drafting and will guide them through all the functions of CAD programs. Students who have an eye for creativity and a solid foundation in math and mechanics should explore a CAD design technician program.
