Eric is a proud husband and father who grew up in the Northeast Kingdom (NEK) of Vermont. After high school, Eric attended Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy, MA. After teaching middle school math for two years, he took over as the Assistant Director of Academic Services at Eastern Nazarene College.
Eric's journey has been an unconventional one. Directly after college he started teaching 8th grade math, and did that for two years. While teaching at the middle school he started a small tutoring company. The primary goal of Quincy Tutoring is to provide an excellent service at a price anyone could afford. Many of of Quincy Tutoring's students could not afford what the larger companies were charging. After his second year at the middle school, Eric's career path changed and he accepted a another job as a college administrator.
Changing career paths was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I never would have thought I would be a college administrator at 24, working with students with disabilities and teaching developmental math. As Assistant Director of Academic Services, I also created a summer program for incoming freshman that need two or more developmental courses.
Even though I am only 26, I have a lot of knowledge to share.
Other Expertise: Expert math tutor, who loves to help students overcome their math anxiety. I am also passionate about working with students who have learning disabilities. In my current position at Eastern Nazarene College, I have the privilege of advocating for students as they seek out academic accommodations. Eventually I would like to say I am a small business expert, but I need a little time to develop this skill :)!
