Careers for Right Brained Thinkers

If you are among the right brain thinkers, you are artistic, innovative, and don’t like to follow rules you don’t understand. Working in careers where you can be creative and see the big picture will be ideal for you, giving you an opportunity to make the most of your inherent right brain skills. Here are a list of careers to consider if you are a right brain thinker.

Graphic designer. If you are artistic, creative, and like to draw, a career as a graphic designer will give you plenty of chances to do this on a daily basis, creating people’s logos and letterhead through digital technology like Illustrator.

Interior designer. Interior designers work in a highly visual industry, creating beautiful and functional environments in peoples homes and businesses. Not only does this give them creative license, but allows them to work with new people on a regular basis. Counseling Psychologist. Right brain thinkers are innovative problem solvers who love helping people improve their quality of life, making them excellent candidates for a career as a counseling psychologist.

Teacher/Professor. Some of your favorite teachers may have been right brain thinkers. Right brain teachers often use stories, educational games, and demonstrations in class and encourage the participation of the students in the classroom.

Recreation management. If you love working outside, having an active lifestyle, and being around lots of people, a career in recreation management might be a great fit for you. Other related careers may include yoga instructor, dance teacher, or personal trainer.

Retail. Right brained people often like variety in their day as well as working with lots of people, something a career in retail embodies.
