Neuroscience

A neuroscience program will help you become an expert on the brain so you can pursue a career in diagnosing and treating psychiatric disorders.

Humans have the most complex brain of any organism on earth. This intricate system of connections is studied in neuroscience: the study of the development and function of the brain and its corresponding nervous system. Typical careers for graduates of neuroscience education include neuroscientist, neurobiologist, neurochemists, neurological surgeons or psychiatrists. Most if not all neuroscience professions will involve extensive research to understand, prevent and cure psychiatric disorders or diseases of the brain. Neuroscientists work in a variety of settings including hospitals, universities, medical schools, private research firms, government agencies like the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and pharmaceutical institutions to name a few. Get in touch with your brainy side and get into some neuroscience courses.
