Philosophy is an extremely broad field of study and its definition reflects that very fact. One of the many correct definitions available is this: philosophy is the study of matters such as existence, knowledge, values, reason, mind and language. Philosophers examine the world in search of intellectual enlightenment and wisdom. But what can you do with a philosophy degree? Many who earn philosophy degrees go on to more professional schooling including law school or graduate school and a large percentage go on to teach philosophy at a college or university. Courses will explore famous Greek philosophers like Aristotle and Plato as well as logic, theoretical physics, ethics and other scintillating topics like existentialism.
