Ten Signs That You Should Go Back to College

You’ve probably heard about the wealth of options available for adult students to enroll in college, either offline or online, but you may doubt your suitability for these programs. The “I have to work!” excuse is just that - these programs offer the flexibility you need to earn an income and study for your degree at the same time. However, how do you know if these programs truly are right for you? Here are ten signs that you should go back to college:

1.) You regret the choices you made in your first stint at college. Going back to college has never been easier, cheaper, or more convenient.

2.) You never went to college in the first place. Many people never had the chance to broaden their minds, and online college is a great way to do so.

3.) You have a burning desire to learn about a subject, like English, history, or science. Indulge your passion!

4.) You hate your job. Being miserable 40+ hours a week is no way to live. Go back to school and get a degree that will get you a job you love.

5.) You want to make more money. Having a college degree will raise your lifetime earning power.

6.) You love to learn. What better way to indulge this passion than by surrounding yourself with like minds and intellectual mentors?

7.) You want a promotion or more responsibility in your career. Many professions require employees to have degrees in order to promote from within, regardless of their skills or experience.

8.) You want to earn a graduate degree. An MBA, Master’s or even PhD is a great way to boost your resume and build your skills.

9) You want to learn new skills to make you more effective on the job. College can teach you the writing, reading, analytical, and communication skills you need to take your career to the next level.

Finally…

10) You want to improve yourself, personally, professionally, and emotionally. Going back to college is an education of your body, mind, and spirit, and will help you in everything from your career to your relationships. If you want to be all you can be, you don’t have to join the army - enroll in college!
