In online classes, tests are vital. Tests are one of the main things people stress over when in college. Below are some helpful tips for taking tests at online colleges:
1. Make sure you are ready. You want to know the main topics of the chapter and definitions are also important.
2. Read your notes right before the test to go over the main points and refresh you memory.
3. Be prepared to sit for a while. Go to the bathroom and have a drink or some food by you so you don’t have to keep walking away from the test.
4. Breathe and don’t stress. Do some deep breathing exercises to relax right before or even during the test.
5. Make sure you have enough time to take the test before starting it because tests are usually timed. Some tests are over an hour long, so you need to make sure you have that time to dedicate.
6. Write down all your answers. This is important in case your computer freezes or an error happens with the school computer systems.
7. If it is multiple choice, read all of your options before choosing an answer.
8. Go with your gut if you aren’t sure about an answer. It usually feels right for a reason.
9. If you find yourself getting to anxious, take a break for a minute and get away from the computer to give yourself time to focus.
10. Go back over all your answers before submitting your test. This way you can see if you missed any questions and you can check the ones you weren’t sure of one last time.
