Careers as Credit Authorizers, Checkers, and Clerks

Credit authorizers, checkers, and clerks review credit histories and researches the information that determines if an individual or a business is creditworthy when they apply for credit or for credit cards.

While many employers provide on-the-job training, it is highly recommended that Credit autorizers, checkers, and clerks receive an education in accounting. Be sure to look into the programs being offered in many locations.

The average annual income for credit authorizers, checkers, and clerks is approximately $30,000 according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
