When there is a disagreement, two parties may decide to recruit the help of a mediator to help them make decisions and come to an agreement. While judges and lawyers come to decisions themselves, mediators help other come to their own decisions. They listen to what each party has to say, then help them find a way to compromise.
Arbitrators, mediators and conciliators rely on their knowledge of English, laws, government, sociology, psychology, math, management and human resources to do their job.
