Bartenders use excellent social, organization and memorization skills to serve customers and help people feel at home.

If you are a social butterfly and love to see a satisfied customer, this is the job for you. Bartenders cashier, serve drinks, check identification, balance receipts, clean bar equipment and order taxis for customers.

Bartending requires self control, cooperation, social skills, independence and the ability to adapt. Bartenders use tools like barcode scanners, refrigerated liquid recirculation systems, spirit measures, ice chippers and much more. Bartenders are usually good listeners, communicators and decision makers. They are usually service oriented and have good memorization skills.

The average hourly wage of bartenders is about $8 and the average annual income is about $17,000.
