Bartending requires self control, cooperation, social skills, independence and the ability to adapt. Bartenders use tools like barcode scanners, refrigerated liquid recirculation systems, spirit measures, ice chippers and much more. Bartenders are usually good listeners, communicators and decision makers. They are usually service oriented and have good memorization skills.
The average hourly wage of bartenders is about $8 and the average annual income is about $17,000.
