Doctorate of Management - Homeland Security
Earn your Doctorate of Management in Homeland Security from Colorado Technical University.
Through the Doctor of Management with a concentration in Homeland Security (HLS) program, students cultivate the theoretical, research and application capabilities required for a fulfilling career in their field of choice, with specific applications in Homeland Security.
In the first year, the focus is on research and classic and contemporary management literature. With this foundation, students then develop a comprehension of the management research and methods employed in Homeland Security. In the third year, students cultivate leadership skills, and produce their choice of four publishable papers or a dissertation.
The curriculum is designed to teach students how to evaluate trans-organizational structures for the management of Homeland Security. One of the assignments in the HLS program is to design a plan to coordinate networked Homeland Security organizations, examine how crises unfold, and evaluate contingencies for coping with difficulties as they come. Graduates are prepared to frame policy agendas for inter-organizational collaboration between businesses, government, and advocacy organizations.
