Engine and Other Machine Assemblers

An Engine and Other Machine Assembler is responsible for the construction, assembly, and rebuilding engines and turbines. These engines and turbines are used in automobiles, mining and construction equipment, and power generators. They are also commonly used in factory settings such as textile and paper manufacturing.

Assemblers most often work in manufacturing plants. The type of environment and tools used will vary based on the type of engine or turbine being manufactured.

A high school diploma or GED certificate is required for a position as an engine and other machine assembler. Training from a vocational school is preferred for more complicated and advanced assembly jobs. Be sure to check out the programs being offered in many locations.
