Careers as Boilermakers

People who work well with their hands, are good troubleshooters, and good decision makers may be perfect candidates for becoming boilermakers.

Boilermakers put together, maintain, and repair stationary steam boilers and boiler house auxiliaries. They read blueprints and use power tools and wedges to build boilers.

Boilermakers also test vessels, clean boilers and boiler furnaces, and repair fittings. Job opportunities are expected to increase quickly.

Regardless of their background or experience, students can embark on an interesting career as a boilermaker today in many locations.
