These professionals use things like bar code readers, carts, conveyors, point of service workstations, and various types of software on a daily basis. They also use kitchen equipment to prepare food: deep fryers, slicers, food warmers, choppers, and more.

People who do well as food preparers and servers are good communicators and listeners and are good at math, teaching, and using their hands. Job opportunities for food preparation and serving workers are expected to increase quickly.
