They make sure drawings have details like measurements, material types, dimensions and codes.
To be successful in this field, you will need a degree and experience with drawing, math, science, engineering, technology and computer aided design (CAD).
It is expected that the job opportunities for architectural and civil drafters will increase. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reports the annual salary for people with this job is about $46,000 but some drafters can make as much as $67,000.
