Carpenters are expert craftsmen who design, construct, install and repair wooden fixtures and structures. Carpentry work is a physical vocation with many opportunities to work outdoors. Students who are looking for a career where they get to use their hands and creative talents to produce things used by people everywhere should explore carpentry program.

In many locations carpentry courses will teach students the basics of cabinetry, mill work, various finishing methods, woodworking, exterior and interior trim styles, blueprint reading, and mathematics. Most carpenters gain experience through an apprenticeship of a few years after completing training.
