Ten Items of Clothing People Forget to Buy When Going Back To College

In the excitement of leaving for college, many students forget a number of essentials. Among these essentials, some of the most commonly forgotten items are important articles of clothing. Without these items, students will find that their campus life, as well as social life, maybe difficult to prepare for.

Ten Items of Clothing Students Frequently Forget to Bring to College:

1. A comfortable pair of walking shoes. Most students will do quite a bit of walking to their college classes. Without a good pair of walking shoes, students are sure to suffer from blisters, sore feet, and one more excuse as to why they are late for class.

2. A Swimsuit. Even if a student will be going home for the summer, many colleges have indoor pools and saunas that students can enjoy year around. These pools and other amenities offer students a fun way to exercise, as well as activities to enjoy with friends.

3. Winter Coat(s). A warm winter coat is a must for students attending school in cold climates. Students will find the long walks to class unbearable if they have to make the trip under dressed.

4. Flip flops or other suitable shower shoes. Students living in the dorms will want to remember shoes to wear in the shower. With hundreds of students using the same shower stalls, year after year, the floors of these showers are often home to fungus and bacteria.

5. Formal wear. While many students may not see the need for formal attire, they will not want to miss out on a fun event due to their insufficient wardrobe.

6. Gloves, scarfs, and warm winter hats. Just as a warm winter coat is important, winter accessories are as well. Students will find it difficult to complete their homework if their fingers are suffering from frostbite.

7. A robe. Most dorm rooms do not have showers inside the rooms. Therefore, a robe will come in handy when making the short walk to the shower.

8. Workout gear. Many colleges offer their students free gym admission. Good workout clothes may be the motivation they need to get moving.

9. A sturdy pair of sunglasses. After a late study session, a long walk to class on a bright day may not be a student’s first choice of activity.

10. Rain boots. Walking to class in wet shoes is no student’s idea of a good time. Rain boots will prove themselves useful time after time.
