This week, we caught up with acupuncturist Dan Clark to find out how his education has had an impact on his career.
Question: How did your education help you prepare for your career?
Answer: I earned a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine. It has definitely benefitted my career as a acupuncturist. The program has prepared me for the clinical aspect of acupuncture and Chinese medicine. We diagnose to find out what may be causing the problem and select appropriate treatments with acupuncture and herbal medicine. The business side of the clinic is a whole new arena for me, it is a constant learning experience. I enjoyed my education at Southwest Acupuncture College. It was hard work and very intensive but it was well worth it.
I am now doing what I love to do and also support my family. I get a lot of satisfaction in being able to help people improve their quality of health with the knowledge and skills that I have.
Now we pose the question to you. How has your education helped you at work?
